ABC Central California's Electrician Trainee Program
ABC Central California, in partnership with College of the Sequoias, offers a California state-approved, four-year General Electrician Trainee Program designed to provide students with the classroom education needed to maintain their Electrician Trainee status while building the knowledge and skills required for a career in the electrical trade.
Our Electrician Trainee Program is designed with working students in mind.
Classes are currently offered Monday and Wednesday evenings, allowing students to work during the day and attend training after normal business hours.
For employers enrolling larger groups of employees, flexible scheduling options may also be available. Depending on class size, employer needs, instructor availability, and program requirements, ABC Central California may be able to work with companies to develop an alternate class schedule that better accommodates their workforce.
Employers interested in a customized or group training schedule are encouraged to contact the chapter to discuss available options.
Our program uses NCCER curriculum, a nationally recognized construction and craft training curriculum, to provide structured instruction throughout all four years of the program. The NCCER curriculum is designed to build skills progressively from foundational concepts through more advanced electrical applications.
Students progress through four levels of electrical training while continuing to work for their sponsoring employer and gain on-the-job experience toward eligibility for the California electrician certification exam.
