Construction Craft Training at ABC - CCC

The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) predicted in 2001 that the construction industry will require more than 250,000 new people each year to meet the 2010 workforce demand, and this number will continue to grow larger into the next decade. Furthermore, the workforce environment through 2010 shows that males age 55 and over will constitute 70 percent of skilled labor. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that by 2008, there will be a net shortfall of 3 percent in skilled trades for the construction industry. Given these eye-opening figures, how will your firm attract and retain its skilled workforce in the future? ABC can help!

ABC is committed to the development of an educated and skilled workforce. Today, 28 industry associations are partners in the NCCER with ABC serving as its general partner. The NCCER publishes and maintains standardized craft training in more than 25 crafts.
